Where is Emmerdale Studio Experience?

Emmerdale Studio Experience is located on Burley Road in Leeds City Centre. The address is 27 Burley Road, Leeds, LS3 1JT. Our Studio Experience Tour page includes a map of the area plus more information about how to find us.

Is there parking at the attraction? Where can I park / nearest car park?

There is limited street parking in the vicinity. If you are driving to the attraction, we advise you use a car park for the duration of your stay. The nearest car park is the Leeds City Council pay and display car park on Burley Road, just in front of the Emmerdale Studio Experience. Alternative parking can be found at Kirkstall Road, LS3 1JA just around the corner and a 7 minute walk from the experience.

How long is the tour / visit?

The guided tour will take around two hours. Please arrive 10 minutes before your tour time. We also recommend leaving extra time for the café and gift shop after your tour.

How often does the tour run? 

The tour runs around every 20 minutes throughout the day but we recommend booking in advance to secure your time slot as we sell out many tour slots. Book your slot now

Do i have to take a guided tour?

Yes, due to the nature of the attraction, it can only be enjoyed as part of a guided tour.

Do I have to arrive for my allotted tour time or would I be able to go on an earlier or later tour? 

We recommend prebooking. If you have a prebooked ticket you should arrive 10 minutes before your allotted tour time. You will not ordinarily be allowed to join another tour. If there is a problem and you think you will not be able to make your allotted tour, please call the attraction on 0113 430 1243 to discuss your options.

Why is prebooking recommended? 

We recommend prebooking as we expect to sell out many popular time slots. Prebooking in advance guarantees your tour time and means less or no queuing on arrival. 

How much does it cost? 

Ticket prices are £23.50 for an adult and £12.50 for children. You can find out more about our prices for the studio experience tour here and prices for our village tour here.

Do you offer a discount for groups? 

Groups of 15 people or more usually qualify for a discount. Please see our groups page where you can get more information or contact our reservations team on 01904 261262.

Is the experience suitable for children? 

Although we welcome children, this is a 2-hour fully-guided tour and some of the footage from the show throughout the experience is taken from dramatic storylines in Emmerdale’s history. You therefore may want to consider whether the tour is suitable for your children. Regrettably, pushchairs are not allowed on the tour.

Is there anywhere I can leave my bags?

We’re sorry but there isn’t any secure space for guests to leave luggage or additional bags. We would recommend leaving these at your hotel or if you are travelling by public transport there are left luggage facilities at Leeds Train Station. Due to visiting working sets, there are strict security guidelines regarding bags which can be found here.

Will my bag be checked when I visit? 

For their safety and security, all visitors are admitted subject to a condition that, if requested to do so, they will allow themselves and/or their belongings to be searched before entry.

Can a wheelchair user still go on a tour? 

Yes, guests in wheelchairs can access all areas of the Emmerdale Studio Experience, and accessible toilets are available. Please note the tour can only accommodate one wheelchair user per tour so please call us before booking on 01904 261262 to check availability. You can find out more about accessibility here.

Can I hire a wheelchair for the tour? 

We do not offer wheelchair hire for the tour, but we are fully accessible for wheelchair users.

Can I bring my dog on the tour? Can I bring a guide dog? 

Sorry, dogs are not allowed on the tour with the exception of registered guide dogs. If you wish to visit with an assistance dog, please ensure you have formal identification for the dog with you and email or call us in advance to let us know.

At the Emmerdale Studio Experience will I be able to walk through the village?

The external village scenes for the show are filmed on the Harewood Estate, 10 miles outside of Leeds so is not part of your Emmerdale Studio Experience. However, we also run the popular Emmerdale the Village Tour, a separate tour of the external filming set. You can find more information on this tour here.

Is there a café? 

Yes, there is a café serving delicious hot and cold food with both breakfast and lunch options. A range of coffee, tea and cold drinks are available as well as a large variety of snacks and light bites… and of course some delicious cakes!

Is there a gift shop? 

Yes, you will get chance before and after the tour to browse our range of Emmerdale merchandise, unique gifts and memorabilia. We cannot send any of the items in the gift shop by post, but the shop is open to the public without a ticket for the tour.

Is there a chance to meet any actors / cast members?

Although filming does happen at both studio locations during the week, actors will not be present during your tour as they will be having a well earned weekend off! You will however see examples of real sets and costumes they use, and hear secrets about the production of Emmerdale.

Will I be able to have a drink in the Woolpack? 

Unfortunately The Woolpack will not be open for business, but we do have a fully functioning café serving delicious hot and cold food and drinks. There is also an unmissable opportunity to have a souvenir photo taken behind the bar at The Woolpack.

Can I hire out the venue for an event? 

Emmerdale Studio Experience offers venue hire for corporate and private events in the near future. We also offer a very popular hen do experience.

Can we get married at Emmerdale Studio Experience? 

Unfortunately, we do not have a marriage licence so you cannot get married at Emmerdale Studio Experience.

Do you have wi-fi at the Emmerdale Studio Experience?

Do you keep lost property?

We hold on to all lost property for a limited time. If you think you may have left something behind during your visit, please contact us on 0113 430 1243. Sending lost property out will be subject to postal charges (depending upon the size and weight of the package). We accept no responsibility for lost items.
